How do I restore my configuration from my 2.22 backup to my new 3.3 install? I have the HBdata.mdb file in my backup directory but Housebot wants a HBconfigbackup.zip file.
How do I proceed?
Restore configuration from backup 2.22 to 3.3?
Re: Restore configuration from backup 2.22 to 3.3?
The backup file from version 2.22 (HBData.backup) is not compatible with the restore feature of 3.x. Version 2.x only backed up the database file, whereas version 3.x backs up the entire config directory.
It is possible to restore the 2.22 database file into your 3.3 setup, but there's a big chance that files that are referenced in the database (theme and script files) may not be present in the 3.3 config directory.
To restore the 2.22 database, first exit HouseBot. Then take the HBData.backup file found in the 2.22 \HouseBot\Config\Backup directory and copy it into the new 3.3 \HouseBot\Config\Backup directory. Then rename the old 3.3 HBData.mdb file to something for safekeeping. Then rename the HBData.backup to HBData.mdb. Start HouseBot.
