HB managing a Movie Library

Is anybody using HouseBot to manage a Movie Library? If somebody is, any partcular combination of software that works fine or is easier to integrate? (MCE, TheatherTeck, etc.)

My logic is that if I am watching a movie, I want to browse selections on the TV itself. I actually use an apple TV to stream my movies. This does require iTunes to be open due to my library size....but hopefully once boxee gets a bit more stable that won't be necessary. So, no I don't have HB manage my movies (or my music...but you know that already).

OK, my logic is completely different. I would want to browse my movie on my touchscreen leaving the TV or projector for what it's made for: displaying a running trailer or movie. This way you can select music, movies, trailers, tv recordings or what have you while the tv is displaying a trailer or something else. I like to watch trailers and while watching one, I am selecting the next one using my swremote on the touchscreen which sits next to my chair. Attached one of my movie panels using housebots swremote. It interfaces Meedio.

What hardware are you interfaced to? DVD changer, media player, HTPC?

Server PC:
- HouseBot, Meedio, Answering machine, webserver, etc
- 3GB RAM, AMD 5200+, GeForce 8500 Silent, 13x serial port, 2x PVR250, DVD RW, 80GB single platter system harddrive and 3x 500GB Data drives holding the music (80GB), movies, homevideos, trailers, pictures etc

Media PC:
- HouseBot in replicate mode, Meedio


I wrote a complete interface layer between HouseBot and Meedio using the Meedio message stream and the power of Meedio's databases and its importers. This way all my my media is tagged properly.
