Controlling a task from a Z-wave remote?

Post by Trixor »

Hi!

I was wondering if there isnt a way to control a task or a device via a z-wave remote?

I have a wall-remote with 4 switches, and wanted to associat 1 of the buttons to launch a task within HB.

Is there a software node or something i could make?

Regards

That's a good question. I can't think of any way you can do it now with HouseBot.

If you have a switch that supports associations and it is setup correctly in HouseBot, the HouseBot server will be notified when the switch state has changed. With the change even, you could execute a Task... but it would require that a light pop on (or off) first.
