I have strange problem using GC-100 and remote pronto code.
Briefly, I have 4 pronto code and only 1 is working with housebot other 3 give me an error about compilation prontocode, but all 4 pronto code is working with global cache utility.
It is the first time I use IR in housebot, somebody have an idea ?

Thanks

When I try to test the code I get two errors "Unable to convert Pronto code to GC-100 code." and "Error transmitting IR Code to GC-100"

Can I use the GC-100 format code like this ?
38000,1,1,8,34,8,50,8,29,8,108,8,50,8,50,8,45,8,34,8,499,8,34,8,34,8,29,8,29,8,29,8,103,8,29,8,29,8,3070,8,34,8,50,8,29,8,108,8,50,8,50,8,45,8,34,8,499,8,34,8,76,8,71 .

Thanks

You can't use that format.

What device are you trying to control?

Have you gone to www.remotecentral.com to see if they have a working pronto code for your device? You can use CCFViewer to open CCF files in xml format to get at the pronto codes.

Are these learned IR codes? If so, have you tried relearning the code?

Do You have some working code that I can try.

Thanks

I can post discree on/off for my Samsung DLP and Yamaha Aventage receiver tonight.

I will also try putting your pronto codes in my system to see what happens.

Also, make sure you don't have something else accessing the GC-100. It can only handle one connection at a time. The newer iTach series can handle up to 8 simultaneous connections.

I also tested your above pronto code (first one) and get the same error. There is definitely something wrong with the pronto code.

For some reason, I was not able to reproduce the error you see with those codes. Not sure why that would be.

The only way to receive the "Unable to convert Pronto code to GC-100 code" error is if the validation logic for the pronto code fails. The validation logic goes, basically, like this:
  • Make sure each character in the code is 0-9 OR a-f OR A-F
  • Space between the codes (only space, no line feeds allowed)
  • Make sure the length of the full code string is at least 29 digits
  • Make sure the length of the full code string is not greater than 1229 digits
  • Make sure the individual codes are in groups of 4 digits
One thing that will cause the code to fail the test is if you have a line feed at any point in the code (including the very end). So make sure the code is one long line with and remove all spaces and line feeds from the end of the code.

The pronto code from Osler working good .
I have noticed that my pronto code have 4 chr at beginning and 1 chr more at the end, I have stripped that chr and now my pronto code is working.

As can be seen in the screenshot the problem seems to be solved.
