Error Interface not registered?

Post by sundodger »

My rss news feed script device has suddenly started giving the error as per the post title. It appears in the News Channel Name field.
Strangely though it only affects 2 out of the 3 feeds currently set up, the 3rd one is perfect.
Any ideas or suggestions as always welcome.
Thanks

Can you read the rss feeds with any other software or browser?
Maybe the feeds simply don't exist anymore..

Feeds seem ok, this is one of them http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/uk/rss.xml
I have checked that the url has not changed from what i have in housebot. Both the ones that are not working stopped at the exact same time same time.

Is this peculiar/particular to your HB server PC? That is, you successfully accessed that feed with a browser on the same or different box? That msg "reads" like there should be (and isn't) a cookie, registry entry, or whatever that no longer exists or has changed. (All that typed, I don't know anything about how an RSS feed works.)

Downloaded a program called freereader, installed to the housebot machine put the above feed in and no problem, reads it ok.
